You mean it was all a lie???

It’s been a bit of an interesting week, with some big disappointments, and some awesome parts as well.

Bad news first:
1) Patrick didn't show up for our lesson on Tuesday, so we called, and went by his house several times without finding him. Then on Thursday, his mom answered the door and said that he had been leaving without her permission (he's 18 by the way, and that was a lie, she knew he was meeting with us), and that until he's done with university, he won't be leaving the house. (Again, he's 18). She was just kind of rude, and it was really sad to lose such a great investigator. We’ll just pray that he'll have the opportunity to listen to the gospel at some point in the future.
2) No one came to church again despite all our efforts of promising blessings, committing them to go, calling, and going to their houses. I have no more to say about that.

Good news!!!
1) Melisa said that she is starting to feel that the church is true!!! She also said she would go to church (see subject line). She just needs to read the Book of Mormon and GO TO CHURCH.
2) We had a really super spiritual lesson with Napoleon and Pilar, and they both accepted baptismal dates for September 16!! They also promised they'd go to church and that we could pick them up....(see subject line)
3) We are supposed to contact 25 people each day, and on Wednesday we got to 28!!!! We should be able to pull some solid investigators from those 28 contacts.
4) We got to do another capilla abierta (chapel tour)! I love being able to teach so many people at once and be able to testify so many times about the restoration of the gospel, and Jesus Christ. We got to do a bit of contacting to bring people in, and that was fun too.

Well, the good things are always more than the bad things! (that is really terrible English, I’m so sorry). The mission is so hard but so worth it. I love the people here, I love my companion, and I love being a soldier of Jesus Christ.
